What types of posts do you usually make?: It varies a bit, but primarily blogging. With the anniversary of the 7th HP book coming up, many have been Harry Potter based, but I also do social commentary, social media and general media commentary random blog topics, some parody/humor posts. Not so big on RL posts, except when they're anecdotes connected to a certain topic, I guess you could say? Really I go for conversation, more so than a diary. o when I do do RL posts, I'm also inviting people to chime in with their thoughts. (And I like reading RL posts like that, too.)
What are you looking for in new dw friends?: People who share my interests, people who are open minded... Is there anything you want future friends to know?: I have two heads and breathe fire. Also, I'm snarky. :P

Probably might be important to mention that I used to be Moreteadk, but changed my username recently. (hence the icon) Age: 38. Not shy about that. Hogwarts House: Half the time I take a test, it says Ravenclaw. Otherwise it seems to be evenly distributed between the others. Personally I think I fall in between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.
General Interests: TV/Movies: I like an adventure. Pirates of the Carribbean for example. Or Lord of the Rings. Not very interested in all these superhero/comic book films that are popular these days. Games: Recently I've been playing Stardew Valley a lot. I really miss the old LJ, and am hoping to get that fun sense of community back. I love memes and challenges, but haven't' seen any on my feed here yet. Although my all of my posts are SFW, because I'm an older fan, I would prefer my friends to be adults, although I do make exceptions. I don't auto add back people who just follow me, so please comment here or on one of my public posts as to why you thing we would get on. Is there anything you want future friends to know?:I come from an LJ background, but have been making gifs on tumblr for years. I miss the sense of community I had on LJ, and would really like to begin phasing out of tumblr. I don't like seeing angry posts about politics on my feed. Life is stressful enough without getting all worked up on a site I use to unwind on, but if you must know, Bernie was my first choice. I also don't like character hate in my fandoms. While I find it perfectly acceptable to not like a character, I find that attack mode/accusatory hate that divides the HP fandom on tumblr to be rather distasteful. While I do read books by Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, etc, I prefer not to see images of graphic horror on my feed, and would generally not consider myself to be a horror fan. I'm a fan of Alan Rickman, Kenneth Branagh, Ben Whishaw, and Chris Pine is growing on me. (I know I've left people out here - they'll come to mind, I'm sure, after I've posted this!) I love live theatre and musicals, costumes, gardens, old or unusual architecture, and have an appreciation for great cinematography.

With the anniversary of the 7th HP book coming up, many have been Harry Potter based, but I also do social commentary, social media and general media commentary random blog topics, some parody/humor posts. Not so big on RL posts, except when they're anecdotes connected to a certain topic, I guess you could say? Really I go for conversation, more so than a diary. o when I do do RL posts, I'm also inviting people to chime in with their thoughts. (And I like reading RL posts like that, too.)

Hogwarts House: Half the time I take a test, it says Ravenclaw. Otherwise it seems to be evenly distributed between the others. Personally I think I fall in between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.

TV/Movies: I like an adventure. Pirates of the Carribbean for example. Or Lord of the Rings. Not very interested in all these superhero/comic book films that are popular these days.
Games: Recently I've been playing Stardew Valley a lot. Husband and I have also been getting interested in board games in the last year.
Hobbies: I like cross-stitch. I'm also slowly teaching myself a bit of sewing/quilting. It's a learning-by-doing approach.
What's the last great thing you watched or read?: We went and saw the latest Pirates film just the other day. It was very entertaining indeed. Currently reading a Discworld novel and also Shadows of the Apt series by Adrian Tchaikovsky and enjoying both a lot.

If I do several episodes in a row of something, it'll be while stitching or similar and it'll be something funny and fairly easily accessible. Recently I worked my way through My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic much to the amusement of Husband, and I don't even care if it's aimed at children. It's well made and it's good fun.

What are you looking for in new dw friends?: People who still believe in nuance. The polarized rhetoric of today is really bad for my mental health.
(also, I've only seen this on Twitter so far but things migrate, so if you ever post those text posts with the clapping hand emojis interspersed between the words, I can't follow you. I have disabilities and those posts are physically painful for me to read.)
Is there anything you want future friends to know?: I like comments, but don't require them. I try to remember to give them as often as possible but I don't always. I don't always remember to put long stuff behind cuts, but I am better about putting spoilers or sensitive content behind cuts. Again, though, I don't always remember because human.

I miss the sense of community I had on LJ, and would really like to begin phasing out of tumblr. I don't like seeing angry posts about politics on my feed. Life is stressful enough without getting all worked up on a site I use to unwind on, but if you must know, Bernie was my first choice. I also don't like character hate in my fandoms. While I find it perfectly acceptable to not like a character, I find that attack mode/accusatory hate that divides the HP fandom on tumblr to be rather distasteful. While I do read books by Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, etc, I prefer not to see images of graphic horror on my feed, and would generally not consider myself to be a horror fan. I'm a fan of Alan Rickman, Kenneth Branagh, Ben Whishaw, and Chris Pine is growing on me. (I know I've left people out here - they'll come to mind, I'm sure, after I've posted this!) I love live theatre and musicals, costumes, gardens, old or unusual architecture, and have an appreciation for great cinematography.
Anything Else:I don't write fanfic, but am quite used to seeing it on my feed. Please don't feel bad if I don't read or comment on fanfics. Most of my journal is set to friends only, although some fandom posts are public.

What are you looking for in new dw friends?: Just be 18+older, have a few things in common with me, do not be homophobic, no drama. I will not add if you change your username so many times a month. Other then that, I am not too picky.

I am in a Star Trek club, so I often do Away Missons and stuff with them. Also I only write in English and can only understand English.
